“You Were Mine” (The Chicks)

This is a beautiful, poignant song by The Chicks (formerly the Dixie Chicks). Touching music video too with the sad lyrics of the song about a relationship that has ended and one spouse having found a new love contrasting with the occasional glimpses of a young couple so clearly in love and that obviously have trouble keeping their hands off of each other.

Breakups are hard enough as it is, but it just seems sadder when children are involved. The part towards the end of the song where two young children are mentioned always gets me and I don't even have children.
