I don't care too much for money Money can't buy me love -- John Lennon and Paul McCartney, "Can't Buy Me Love"
Shit. I don't know about buying it, but if you have enough of it you will have to beat love back with a stick (I am fairly certain that I have heard someone else make this observation, but I can't recall who said it so that I can give him proper credit). 😂

I was listening to Chris Stapleton sing "Millionaire" and I had to laugh. Don't get me wrong. Love is clearly a gift to be treasured. And I am not saying that you can "buy" it. But perhaps it is easier to love a man with money than a man without money. At the very least, it is probably as easy to love a man with money as it is to love a man without money. And life is likely to be more comfortable and less stressful. So why wouldn't a woman fall for a millionaire, a wealthy bank president, or a well-to-do, financially secure financial adviser over say a student, a personal trainer, or a truck driver (although truck drivers do okay)?
I am, of course, being a little tongue-in-cheek. People from all economic positions fall in love and wealthy or well-to-do people have fallen in love with people from more humble backgrounds and social classes. And let's be honest. Any woman that has loved me (or even liked me a lot) was clearly not interested in me for my money. And I have done okay. But I had a chuckle about this yesterday morning and I thought that I would share it.
With that being said, we know that money is the source of many conflicts in relationships. So keep your fingers crossed that I win the next Powerball drawing and can forever eliminate money as a potential stressor or source of relationship friction. I have already picked out a stick to repel love if I win. 😉
