I heard the “WKRP in Cincinnati Main Theme” on satellite radio a couple days ago and it really brought me back. I liked the song and really enjoyed WKRP in Cincinnati on TV. It was a really funny show with a great cast of characters. Of course, as I expect was true for most straight guys, I was blown away by Loni Anderson’s Jennifer Marlowe. But Bailey Quarters, played by Jan Smithers, was cute with a great personality. If I met someone like her in real life, I could certainly see myself having a crush on her. The truth is that the entire cast was fantastic, even if the guys are not my type. 😉
I am not in radio and I didn’t move to rural Northern Illinois to find myself at the cost of sacrificing a relationship. But it is a really decent song, particularly for a television theme. And I did leave some friends and family in the rearview mirror, so to speak, by moving to the Midwest. I am hardly a Gypsy.
