Today’s Random Thought (12-NOV-2024)

Earlier today I was thinking that I am not ready for winter to arrive. But assuming that I live long enough to experience it firsthand, it is coming and it is coming for me regardless of what I want. Which is pretty much the case for any number of bad, painful, undesired, and unfortunate things that I have experienced or will experience in this life. I didn’t choose to have loved ones die, for my heart to be broken, to experience bouts of melancholy, loneliness, doubt, and despair, to see plans go awry, to be disappointed, to be rejected, or to experience pain, injury, and sickness. So I suppose that I will just have to “cowboy up” and deal with it when it gets here. And spring has always followed the winter in my lifetime.
