Today’s Random Thought (03-AUG-2026)

It wasn’t that she didn’t love me. It wasn’t that she no longer wanted to have a relationship with me. What rocked me and shook my confidence for a time was the painful realization that she had no genuine feelings of affection or concern for me when I had, for some time, believed otherwise.

This was by no means a new revelation for me. I reached that conclusion years ago. It just popped into my mind again when I found myself inadvertently thinking about the past upon hearing a familiar song while driving. As such, I suppose that it qualifies as a random thought, if not a novel one.
