These Look Like Great Candidates for One’s Halloween Gaming Table

Professor DM of the Dungeon Craft YouTube channel recently posted a video to his channel about the various tabletop roleplaying games (TTRPG) based on the popular, rules-light MÖRK BORG game. I am not particularly interested in MÖRK BORG, although I wouldn’t hesitate to play in a game of MÖRK BORG if a friend or family member wanted to play and invited me to his or her gaming table. But some of the games mentioned caught my eye.

Actually, I already have one of the games, PIRATE BORG. PIRATE BORG has a Pirates of the Caribbean vibe that includes the undead and creatures of legend like the Kraken. It would, I think, be a great candidate for a Halloween-themed game night. Another game that caught my eye during Professor DM’s video is Black Powder & Brimstone, which is characterized by the publisher as “…a grim-dark fantasy world of swashbuckling adventure and Gothic folk horror.” Well, it certainly sounds like Black Powder & Brimstone would also be an excellent choice for a Halloween-themed game night.

But the ultimate question from your perspective is almost certainly whether or not you agree. If you are a TTRPG enthusiast or you are interested in exploring the hobby, I would encourage you to watch the video. In the description for the video, Professor DM provides links for the various games mentioned. So you can dig deeper into any games that interest you and buy a copy of any games that pass muster.

I have also included links to the Free League Publishing webpages for Black Powder & Brimstone and PIRATE BORG. Just keep in mind that Free League Publishing is a Swedish company. If you want to see the prices in United States dollars, you will need to click on the three horizontal lines in the upper right corner of the page. This will bring up a link for “Language & currency.” Click on that and select “USD” from the currency choices. Then click on the “X” in the upper right corner. You should then see the prices in United States dollars.

If you order a game now, you may get it in in time to read the rules and play a game with family and/or friends on Halloween night. And frankly, these games look like they would be fun to play at any time of the year. 🎃👻🧙‍♀️👇😁
