The Waffle House

I came across this entertaining and informative video and I HAD to share it (click link below). Hey! It’s Waffle House!

I already knew a bit about the Waffle House beyond its menu and the apparent fascination that some people have with turning it into an arena for settling scores, testing one’s hand-to-hand and melee combat skills, and adding another entry to their criminal records. I knew that Waffle House is open 24/7/365. I knew that FEMA uses the Waffle House Index. I knew that Waffle House offers better-than-average compensation and benefits following a conversation with a Waffle House manager that suggested that I apply for a job. But I didn’t know everything that this video shares.

I have long been impressed with the Waffle House business model. In my 20s, me and an older coworker/friend of the family were working construction at the same paper mill. One day we were discussing how the beach community where we lived needed a Waffle House and how, if we had the money, we would open one. While one didn’t open there, shortly after that conversation one opened just north of that beach community. Well within easy driving distance. 🧇 🍳 🥓 🥩 ☕️ 🥛 😋
