“The Cheap Seats” (Alabama)

I love this song and the music video. With the Major League Baseball or MLB playoffs on the horizon, I thought that I would share it.

The music video highlights two Minor League Baseball or MiLB teams with iconic logos, the Chattanooga Lookouts and the Carolina Mudcats. Back in the day both ballclubs were AA teams in the Southern League. I grew to love attending Carolina Mudcats games in Zebulon, North Carolina. I even got to see a former teammate play at Five County Stadium with the visiting Montgomery Biscuits. I have also enjoyed attending MiLB games in other North Carolina, Georgia, Iowa, and Virginia cities and towns.

Anyway, this song and music video really gets me thinking of watching those MiLB games or even my own experiences playing baseball before small, local crowds on small-town diamonds (a couple with chicken wire backstops) and a handful of MiLB diamonds. 😃⚾️
