Solo Roleplaying (or Role-Playing) in the Marvel Multiverse

I recently shared a couple of videos from the RPG Elite YouTube channel on playing tabletop roleplaying games (TTRPGs) as a solo participant in my post, “Some Solo Gaming Advice and Recommendations” (https://www.apirateontheprairie.com/post/some-solo-gaming-advice-and-recommendations). In one of those videos, Servant of Shiloh shares the announcement that Marvel is planning to release a new set of solo rules for the Marvel Multiverse Role-Playing Game. He shared a picture of the cover for the new solo rules that features “The Man without Fear,” Daredevil, taking on what clearly appear to be ninjas. After initially hearing this news, I have since come across a couple of other online posts referring to the impending release of these new solo rules.
I have to say that I am excited by the news and the prospect of having a dedicated set of solo rules for the game. I have a number of books for the Marvel Multiverse Role-Playing Game and I have ordered a couple of preorder books for the game that are scheduled for release later this year. I used to enjoy roleplaying in the Marvel Universe as portrayed in the various Marvel Comics publication in a previously licensed TTRPG. I suspect that I might have better luck convincing one or both of my brothers to join me and take part in an online game or campaign set in the Marvel Multiverse versus other games and genres. And being that a number of the superheroes in the superhero genre and the world of Marvel Comics operate as solo adventurers/defenders/heroes/protectors, I can certainly see myself playing solo and enjoying the prospect and the process of crafting a story about a lone superhero trying to make his mark on the world.
Below I have included a link to a “tweet” on X regarding the upcoming release, as well as to a video from the Fuzzy on the Details YouTube channel in which Amir Osman of Marvel discusses, among other things, the upcoming solo rules release. Finally, I have shared a link to a set of unofficial solo rules derived from the Marvel Multiverse Role-Playing Game: X-Men Expansion. Essentially you use the rules for gaming within the X-Men’s Danger Room, which is a computerized training center for the X-Men, as the foundation for a set of solo rules. If you want to try your hand at solo gaming within the Marvel Multiverse Role-Playing Game prior to the release of the official solo rules, I would encourage you to give the unofficial rules posted there a try.
Excelsior! 🦸🦸♂️🦸♀️
