Roleplaying and Solo Roleplaying in a “Hostile” Universe

The Evil Dungeon Master YouTube channel has published a video on what appears to be a fun and entertaining science fiction tabletop roleplaying game (TTRPG) from Zozer Games and the the Adventures in Solitaire YouTube channel has published a video about the solo game derived from that more traditional TTRPG. The more traditional TTRPG is titled Hostile and the solo game is quite appropriately titled Hostile Solo. The setting is a dark, gritty one in the not-too-distant future where corporations are arguably the true power players, movers, and shakers and space is a staggeringly hostile environment where life is hard and death is lurking around every corner looking to seize the careless, the distracted, the foolish. the reckless, and the just plain unlucky.

In addition to a hardcover copy of Hostile Solo, I have picked up hardcover copies of both Hostile and Hostile Setting, as well as softcover and PDF copies of various sourcebooks for the Hostile TTRPG. I am looking forward to eventually playing Hostile Solo (and perhaps playing Hostile as part of a group).

One of the comments to the Evil Dungeon Master Hostile video is from an individual that admits to having a problem deciding which game to play first. I can certainly relate to that problem, as I have a number of TTRPGs that I want to play. The struggle is real. The Evil DM offers some admittedly sage advice and I have pasted a screenshot of the exchange below along with links to videos from The Evil Dungeon Master channel and the Adventures in Solitaire channel on Hostile, Hostile Solo, and the Hostile Setting book which can be used as a resource for both games.
