Plymouth, Plymouth Rock, Mayflower II, and Plimoth Grist Mill at Jenney Pond

I spent three nights at the John Carver Inn & Spa in Plymouth, Massachusetts during my most recent vacation and, as such, I had the opportunity to explore historic Plymouth. As a student of United States history, that was a lot of fun. I also took the opportunity to enjoy some fine meals (and pizza), some beer, some wine, and a couple cocktails.
As someone that grew up in a tourist community in history-rich Southeastern North Carolina, I really like Plymouth. I could see living there. Well, aside from trading Illinois winters for winters in coastal Massachusetts. I would probably spend less time bodyboarding than I did in North Carolina considering the great white shark population off Cape Cod in the vicinity of not-too-distant Chatham. 🥶🦈 😉
I definitely hope to return to Massachusetts and maybe check out Salem, site of the Salem Witch Trials.
