Playing “Heroes in a Half-Shell”

I used to enjoy watching the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon and I used to enjoy playing the arcade game where I typically played Leonardo, the dual katana-wielding member of the team. The comic book was fun as well. I never got around to watching the movies, but I know that some East Carolina University students that were or had been part of the school's karate club had been involved with the movies.

I also never tried my hand at playing the TMNT tabletop roleplaying game, but it looks like I will be able to in 2024. Palladium Books is offering a "remaster" of the 1985 roleplaying game via Kickstarter. If you're interested in helping to fund the project and reap the rewards of backing it, you have until November 28, 2023 at 10:59 PM CST. It appears that the project was met with a fair bit of enthusiasm, as it met its funding threshold in just four hours. But it is not too late to get in on the fun and claim some backer rewards for yourself (see first link below).

If you want to pick up the home version of the arcade game machine that I remember playing in the early 90s, you can purchase it from a number of retailers including Walmart (see second link below). And if you want to remember some early TMNT fun, check out the opening theme song from the cartoon (see third link below).
