“Dreams” and 5150

I absolutely loved the Van Halen 5150 album. I had it on cassette and frankly I am amazed that I didn't wear it out. It was part of the soundtrack to my summer of 1986, my senior year of high school 1986-1987, and beyond. I have fond memories of driving fast with the stereo blasting out songs from this album both with friends and driving solo.
One of the hits from that album was "Dreams." The band evidently needed a music video, but the band didn't have one. So the record company put one together that featured scenes of the iconic Blue Angels, the United States Navy's aerial demonstration team, performing their exhilarating aerial maneuvers. That music video became one of the most iconic music videos in rock music and the 1980s.
