Chargrilled/Charbroiled Oysters and Hurricanes

I have to say that I fell in love with New Orleans almost immediately when I visited a few years ago. I could easily see myself living there someday (assuming that I don’t move to the Florida Keys, St. Augustine, Savannah, Charleston, or somewhere else along the South Carolina/Georgia Low Country). One thing that I absolutely love about New Orleans and all those other places is the food and drink. I particularly enjoy the ability to walk about Savannah and NOLA while enjoying a “traveler” (watch Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil).

You owe it to yourself to try chargrilled oysters. I grew up on the coast and ate oysters right out of the shell at an early age. I love oysters, although I am more likely to go for a big plate of shrimp. I have personally seen chargrilled oysters from Acme Oyster House in the French Quarter (https://acmeoyster.com/french-quarter/) convert a confirmed oyster "hater.” They were admittedly nothing short of amazing. 🦪 🔥😋👍
