“As Good as I Once Was” (Toby Keith)

I learned that country music star, Toby Keith, had passed away yesterday. He had battled cancer since at least 2022 and the fight clearly took a toll on him. It is certainly a loss that will be felt by country music fans like myself, as well as his family and his friends. Among his musical accomplishments are an incredible twenty number one hits.

I expect that I will share some of my favorite songs performed by Toby Keith in the days to come. As someone that celebrated another birthday after having reached the half-century mark, this song seems pretty appropriate.

R.I.P., sir. You will be missed.
