Yesterday’s Random Thought (28-OCT-2024)

Last night, as I started my night’s/morning’s driving, I had a momentary pirate thought. The idea of just driving south with my loaded tractor-trailer towards the Carolinas intruded upon my mind and I found myself wondering how long it would take for someone to recognize what was happening. Given that my stores would doubtless be wondering where their deliveries of meat and produce were, I didn’t figure that it would take long before my cellphone started blowing up and the authorities were called to apprehend me and to recover my assigned tractor-trailer. I figured that I would get into Indiana. If I made my deliveries first? I figured that I might make it as far as Ohio.

Now this was nothing more than a random, transient thought that came to mind and was immediately disregarded beyond musing about how it would play out were I to do such a foolish thing. To be clear, I have no desire to be the subject of a felony stop and to face federal and state charges with the prospect of a long prison sentence staring me in the face. I don’t think even Ocean’s Eleven money would be a serious temptation. But it was a humorous thought for this pirate at heart. 🏴‍☠️😏
