The Heady Days at TSR Before the Fall and the Fall of TSR

The Sci-Fi Channel television series, Masters of Fantasy, did an episode on TSR, the company that created Dungeons & Dragons or D&D. I enjoyed “TSR: The Fantasy Factory.” It was interesting to get a glimpse at the company when it seemed to be riding high before it foundered in 1997. However, that apparent prosperity turned out to be an illusion.

Professor Dungeon Master of the Dungeon Craft YouTube channel and Dave Thaumavore of the Dave Thaumavore RPG Reviews YouTube channel share their thoughts on the book Slaying The Dragon: A Secret History of Dungeons & Dragons by Ben Riggs. Mr. Riggs has chronicled the rise and fall of the company that brought the world the most recognizable tabletop roleplaying game (TTRPG) in history.
