Some Advice on Picking Your First Solo Tabletop Roleplaying Game (TTRPG)

I have posted a number of times on this blog about tabletop roleplaying games (TTRPGs) and my intention to return to the hobby as an active participant and not just a collector game materials. I have expressed my intention to play TTRPGs both as a solo participant and as part of a more traditional group game, online and/or in person. So far in my journey, I’ve played a couple of times by playing the “Alone Against the Flames” introductory solo adventure in the Call of Cthulhu Starter Set. In addition, I have browsed, perused, skimmed, and read from the various game materials that I have acquired… and watched a number of videos on the hobby.

Below are a couple of links to videos about how to go about choosing the right kind of game to begin your solo roleplaying game adventures and some specific game recommendations. Turk of TheGrouchCouch YouTube channel (@TheGrouchCouch) and Robin J of the Cozy RPG Reviews YouTube channel (@CozyRPGReviews) provide good information for people playing or looking to play solo TTRPGs. If any of this sounds interesting or intriguing, I would encourage you to watch the videos provided via the links below and watch others as you see fit.
