Perhaps a Bit Drastic
I can get behind the first three. The last one seems a bit drastic…and potentially problematic. But, if I am being frank, there admittedly have been times when the idea of fleeing to another country like a wanted man fleeing justice has been a tempting thought. I’d probably strike out for someplace warm and tropical (that might change if I actually feared being hunted). It also wouldn’t be a bad idea if I chose a place where English is commonly spoken by the inhabitants (again, this might change if I were an actual fugitive from justice). Admittedly, it never occurred to me to label escaping to a foreign country for an indefinite period of time “self-care.” 🤔
Probably not a great option though if it requires “ghosting” loved ones. People get understandably touchy and hurt when abandoned by someone for whom they cared and that they trusted.
