“Pacing the Cage” (Jimmy Buffett)

This afternoon, I caught the very last song of a Jimmy Buffett concert replay on Radio Margaritaville from the September 2, 1999 concert in Mansfield, Massachusetts. That was the Labor Day weekend show for the Beach House on the Moon tour. I was fortunate enough to see Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band play in Raleigh, North Carolina on that tour with some friends and coworkers from the school where we worked. We finished a teacher workday after school let out for the summer with a "staff development" outing to see the show together. It was a great show, although I know a few of us had a late start to the workday the following day. 😉

I really like this song (see link below) and it really hit me right in the feels reminiscing about that concert and the fact that the leader of the Parrotheads is no longer with us except for the music and the memories. Thanks, Mr. Buffett. 🥲
