It Gets Me Right in the Feels

Music has the ability to evoke memories and strong emotions. Sometimes even a single line or series of lines in a song can touch us. Below are links to a couple songs/videos that have lines that really hit me in the “feels.”

“Here with Me” (REO Speedwagon)

This one really gets me because of the idea that what could be a really great future together might ultimately be destined to be nothing more than an unrealized dream or some unrealized future in some science fiction alternate reality.

“How Can We See That Far” (Amy Grant)

This one gets me because the idea of someone that is so important to me and that likewise once loved me eventually forgetting me is heartbreaking.

I listened to both of these songs one night this week that I was driving my truck and I was reminded of the power of just a few words to move someone. So I thought that I would share my thoughts. 🙂🎶🚛💨
