I really like this song. The idea of reconnecting and spending an evening with someone that we care about and that we perhaps once loved (or perhaps still love) can admittedly be an appealing thought. No promises. No demands. No expectations. Just spending some time with someone whose company that we enjoy after a time apart from one another.

With that being said, I did reconnect with someone from my past over ten years ago and it ultimately ended badly between us. It was such a disaster and so awful and so painful an experience that it has seen me sometimes wish that I had never met her in the first place, much less have agreed to reconnect decades later. Absolutely brutal. I would have to think long and hard before accepting another invitation to reconnect with a woman from my past.

In any case, this song is warm and hopeful and sweet and doesn’t have an ending, much less a bad ending. So click on the link below and enjoy. And as a bonus, there is an appearance by the late, great Wolfman Jack (https://www.apirateontheprairie.com/post/anyone-else-remember-wolfman-jack).
