I recently enjoyed the H. P. Lovecraft Historical Society’s movie adaptation of H. P. Lovecraft’s The Call of Cthulhu on Tubi (https://tubitv.com/movies/100027146/the-call-of-cthulhu). I have to admit that the H. P. Lovecraft Historical Society has created a nice, little gem of a movie.

The Call of Cthulhu movie is a silent movie and as such is a nod to the silent movies of Lovecraft’s time. The silent acting was entertaining and the movie’s score is very good. And you can watch the movie in less than an hour (approximately 47 minutes). If you are interested in exploring the works of Lovecraft in a more visual medium, watching this movie is a no-brainer. And if that piques your interest in the works of H. P. Lovecraft, you should definitely explore additional media and material from The H. P. Lovecraft Historical Society.

As I mentioned, you can currently watch the movie on Tubi (see link above). Below are some additional links including a link to The H. P. Lovecraft Society webpage devoted to The Call of Cthulhu movie. Click on the links if you’re interested in delving deeper into the works of H. P. Lovecraft and cosmic horror/Lovecraftian horror.

Enjoy, stay safe, and stay sane.
