The tabletop roleplaying game (TTRPG) that was the first and that is still arguably the most recognizable name in the hobby has a long, interesting, sometimes turbulent history beginning with its creation in the early 1970s, its first publishing in 1974, and its early years as the flagship product for Tactical Studies Rules or TSR. Malcolm details that history in his video.
