Another Perspective on Bad/Sad Memories

I was not a regular viewer of the television show Scrubs, but I have enjoyed the episodes that I have seen. I was watching an episode yesterday and the characters were discussing whether they would purge bad or sad memories if they could. J.D. concluded (link below) that the bad/sad times are a big part of what defines us.
