I hope that you and yours had a fantastic Thanksgiving Day and a great Black Friday. Last year on this blog, I referenced the first Thanksgiving observance in the colony of Virginia at Berkeley Plantation that preceded the Pilgrims Thanksgiving (https://gregorymaness.wixsite.com/website/post/happy-thanksgiving-day). Today, I came across a 2016 Garden & Gun by Elizabeth Hutchison Hicklin about this first Thanksgiving observance. So I thought that I would share it. Enjoy the article, have a great weekend, and have a productive Cyber Monday. And if you are ever in the area, I can personally recommend a stop at Berkeley Plantation.
