A Scientist On Science

I find it rather humorous that during some heated political conversations in which someone wishes to use science as a cudgel to advocate for particular policies, that I have been accused of not respecting science, not understanding science, or of not “believing” science. I find it amusing because I hold two degrees in exercise science and because I worked for almost nine years as a non-scientist in the clinical trials field. I respect the scientific method, although I think that I am educated enough and experienced enough to grasp and understand that science has limitations. Moreover, I understand that people have biases, agendas, and other reasons for deliberately or innocently misrepresenting what science finds or says.
I have no desire to get political here, as I have mentioned previously on this blog. But I thought that I would share one brilliant scientist’s perspective on the topic of science.
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Nobel Prize-winning theoretical physicist, Richard Phillips Feynman, Ph.D. Enjoy!
