A Gothic Horror Must-See?

I’m far from being a horror aficionado, but I do enjoy the genre on occasion. And while I have not seen every vampire movie ever made, I tend to enjoy vampire and supernatural horror films more than the slasher/deranged maniac films. However, I must admit that as a child of the 70s and 80s, I saw my share of those too.

At East Carolina University, I once attended a “lunch-and-learn” hosted by the student union on the topic of vampires. The presentation was by a faculty member in the English department. It was very entertaining and informative. He was a big fan of vampire fiction and he provided those of us in attendance with his insights into the folklore, the literature, and the other media pertaining to vampires. I can certainly can see why someone might become a fan of vampire fiction.

RazörFist or “The Rageaholic” shares his thoughts on the recent film interpretation of a classic vampire story and it certainly sounds promising, if not entirely flawless.
