The Movie That I Have Come to Like, But That I Just Can’t Love

I went into the movie theater in 1997 to see Starship Troopers with high expectations and I quickly had those hopes dashed. Paul Verhoeven’s film adaptation was satirical and was not a faithful adaptation of the Robert Heinlein book of the same name that is one of my favorite books. I was disappointed to note the absence of the power armor that made the Mobile Infantry of the book truly “Mobile” and that led to the troops in the book being known as “cap troopers” due to them
