Mötley Crüe bassist, Nikki Sixx, has indicated that the quote above was the inspiration for “Don't Go Away Mad (Just Go Away).” I loved this song and the attitude underlying the lyrics the first time that I listened to it. When the Dr. Feelgood album came out I was living kind of wild and I wasn’t really looking for a steady, serious relationship. The song probably wasn’t the only thing with a bit of attitude. 😉
